Molly, 23, grew up on a beef-cattle farm in the Allegheny Mountains. Her full name is Mary Rebecca Wilkinson Seltzer.

She graduated from the University of Virginia in 2007 and from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism in 2008. She has interned with Richmond.com, The Washington Post and Bloomberg News. Molly was also a paid humor columnist for Fastweb.com. Some of her goals are to be a syndicated humor columnist, to have a cooking show on Food Network, to open a bakery and to live in a cottage on the Scottish cliffs.

Molly's mother, Melissa Dowd, is the Highland County Commonwealth's Attorney. Her father is Curtis Seltzer, author of How to Be a Dirt-Smart Buyer of Country Property.
